Using OnRamp Chat
Use the OnRamp Chat feature to send and receive text and other items from other OnRamp users.
Prerequisites
Before using Chat:

Chat must be setup by the IT administrator

You must have set up and verified your chat email

(Recommended) Set up your display name and profile picture

To start a new chat session:

Navigate to the Chat tab.

On the Chat tab, click the to open the Chat Manager [S1150] screen.

On the Start New Conversation tab, select + to select a participant and start a new conversation.
Note: To add multiple users to the chat, click + for each user to add. For chat groups of more than one person, you can add a name to the chat group.

Enter the desired message and press Send.
Result
The message will be received by the other user and you will see the chat appear on the Chat tab.
To send OnRamp items:
You can send images of OnRamp items (reports, dashboards, or screens) through chat.

To send Reports, click the Send To Chat button on the report

To send Dashboards, click the Send to Chat button on the dashboard

To send an image of the screen, select the chat and then click the Chat button on the screen taskbar.
Notes

Highlighting a user icon will show their status (Online or Offline). Online means they are using OnRamp and have access to chat.

Every message will be listed with a time stamp of when it was sent/received.

Messages will show an icon if they have been seen/read.

You can add reaction emoticons to messages or reply to a message.

You can delete your own messages by clicking X on the message when it is highlighted.

To change when OnRamp notifies you of a chat action, use the Chat Manager > Beep Type field. Available options are:

When Not Focused on Conversation

Beep Always

Disable Beep
