Notes
-
To action a previously created item, select the item and click the desired mode: Edit, Copy, or Delete.
-
The value in the Operation field is the sequential routing step number. OnRamp recommends entering the value in base 10 (10, 20, 30, etc.) to allow room for error. For example, if you add 3 instructions, but the third one added should be the second, if you use a base 10 numbering system, you can add the last instruction with a number of 15, so it is correctly displayed between 10 and 20.
-
Operations are carried out in ascending order based on the number listed in the Operation field.
-
To ensure operations require reporting before continuing, on the Work Order Reporting tab, set Report Required to Yes.
-
When adding a routing step where the work center requires a specific capability, like a 5ft wide bed to cut sheet metal, select the value from the Capability Required field. This way, when scheduling work for this part, only work center that have that capability selected can be used.
-
When adding subcontracting routing operations, use Queue Lead Time to set the number of days that the part will be at the outside service.
-
To update the scheduled setup and run times on open and unprinted work orders for the part, click Update Open WO Run Times.
-
To add a work order message to a specific routing operation: Select the operation and, on the General tab, enter the desired message on WO Message.
